Support Deck Sandbox

Deck Sandbox is free and will stay free. Donating is voluntary and does two things: it pays for the server and gives the next improvements some room.

What comes next

This is a sequence, not a schedule: the project is made by one person, and saying when would be guesswork.

  1. Now

    What's already here

The table is live and open to everyone. The closed round with testers is over, and this phase stays the same: find what breaks with the people who use it, fix it and finish what is already there — before adding anything new.

    • Done Deck import from a list
    • Done Four boards per seat
    • Done Counters and markers on the card
    • Done Interface and cards in three languages
    • Done A free account to save your decks and your games and pick them up on any device
    • Done Closed round with testers
    • To do Fixes from what players find
  2. Next

    More formats

Today the table knows Standard and Commander. The next step is to widen that, and which formats come first will be decided with the people who use it.

    • To do A vote to pick which come first
    • To do The formats that win the vote
  3. Later

    The app, and an opponent

An application for the computer and the phone, with the option of testing your deck against the machine. The app has no rules engine today, and that is a choice — the mode where you are the judge stays. What changes is that a second mode shows up, for whoever wants it.

    • To do Desktop application
    • To do Android and iOS apps
    • To do A game against the machine

Much of what lands on this list comes from the people who use it every day — they are the ones who best see what already works and what still gets in the way.

Donating does not buy a place in this list.

Found a problem? Have an idea?

A fix, an adjustment or an idea for something better — it all arrives at the same address, and a person reads it:

[email protected]

Telling us what you were doing, on which device and in which browser helps a lot — it is what makes the problem reproducible on this side.

Where the money goes

There is no figure published here yet, and that is deliberate: the real cost only shows up once people are using it. A made-up number would be worse than none.

Everyone gets the same thing

The app has no supporter badge, no donor list, no campaign goal and no exclusive feature. Everything it does, it does for everyone.

What donating changes is time: more hours on the project, more things finished sooner.
